Active Control of Evidence (ACE) is a division of Software Techniques Inc (STI) that focuses solely on providing a powerful property and evidence management solution for police departments.


Our History

In 1986 Suffolk County Police Department approached us with the task of developing a custom property and evidence management system. Suffolk County PD did not want a mere barcode inventory system; they required a complete system that reflected the way they operated, processed, managed and controlled an efficient property and evidence room. In response to their needs STI built ACE from the ground up for, and with the help of, property and evidence managers. Together with their input and feedback, STI was able to provide an exceptional solution after three years of intensive development. To this day, Suffolk County PD uses the feature rich system provided by ACE and is fast approaching one million items in their sizable vault; all of which is efficiently controlled through the ACE System.

Since our inception, we have worked with numerous police departments to continually ensure that ACE provides an exceptional software solution that will satisfy both rural departments with ACE Express, and the large metropolitan departments with ACE.
