September 2011 - Software Techniques, Inc has added a new module to ACE with the release of Active Inventory Manager (AIM). This newly introduced application provides the same trusted features that the CE Device Software provides, but upgraded in a more active capacity. The AIM module works on both a wireless or wired network via a windows-based wifi device.
  The core of AIM provides three main functions:

1. Real Time Inventory: Perform inventory checks of any evidence storage location in your system and see in real-time how much of the inventory has been completed. Any items that exist in the location will display a waiting population. Any items that are scanned and do not belong in the population will immediately display in red on the device, notifying you of the location error so that it may be resolved.  The scanned inventory will actively store an audit in the ACE system ...   Read more...

June 2011-  A new ACE Module has been released by Software Techniques Inc. The Milestones Module will now allow agencies to track events and tasks as defined by the user, adding to the already large list of tracking capabilities already built into ACE.
  This module will allow agencies to track events and tasks that go beyond the normal tracking of property and evidence. It will also allow law enforcement agencies to track their own specific tasks and use it in a variety of ways.

March 2011 - A new External URL interface feature has been released for Software Technique Inc's ACE System. This feature will allow URL links to be included within ACE records, allowing users to click on the link within ACE which will open the relating "page". September 2010 - The latest release by Software Techniques Inc . for the Evidence Control System, ACE is the new approval portion to the Fast Evidence Drop Module. This Module has been available for some time to ACE users, but now with the added addition of a new review/approval feature. In its original form, the Module allows officers and detectives to easily label and submit evidence to an unmanned secure area.

Now, whenever an item is dropped off, the information can first be reviewed by a superior officer so that the information can be approved or rejected. When the submitting officer signs in again, he/she will then receive notification to respond to the superior officer's rejection of information and correct the information as needed. This helps to ensure that all data is entered correctly and assist in reducing the potential for user error.
